2. What this website currently uses

The website currently uses local browser storage for functional purposes, including:

• Weather and beach-condition caching: temporarily storing recently retrieved public weather or condition data so the site does not repeatedly request the same information.
• Calendar caching: temporarily retaining recently retrieved public calendar information within the current browser session to improve performance.

These functions are not used to build advertising profiles or track you across unrelated websites.

3. Analytics status

The website does not currently operate an analytics service or use analytics cookies. It does not currently collect analytics statistics such as page views, popular content, device types or general traffic patterns through an analytics provider.

Because no optional analytics service is operating, the website does not currently display an analytics-consent control. Functional browser storage described above may still operate because it supports requested website features rather than advertising or visitor profiling.

If the Club proposes to introduce analytics, this policy will be updated to identify the provider, information collected, purposes and relevant retention arrangements. Any consent control required for that service will be implemented before the analytics service is loaded.

4. No marketing or advertising tracking

Fingal Beach SLSC does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioural advertising cookies or cross-site marketing trackers on this website.

5. Your choices

You can restrict or clear local browser storage using your browser settings. Blocking functional storage may cause weather, beach-condition or calendar information to be requested more often or may affect how efficiently those features operate.

There is currently no analytics preference to manage because the website does not operate an analytics service.

6. External services

Some requested website features connect to external services. Depending on the page and feature used, these may include Open-Meteo for weather information, Google Maps for the embedded location map, Facebook-hosted media used with Club announcements, and Club-operated services hosted through Google Apps Script for calendar and announcement information.

When your browser requests content directly from an external service, that service receives technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as your IP address, browser information and the requested resource. External providers have their own privacy practices. These connections are not presented by the Club as advertising or analytics tracking and are described further in our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we introduce a new analytics provider, add a new category of browser storage or materially change how website data is handled.
