Joining Fingal Beach SLSC is easy. Follow these simple steps:

Before you begin: You will need an account in the SLSA Members Area / Hub and should select Fingal Beach SLSC as your club. Members under 18 require a parent or guardian to complete the relevant registration steps.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

All members working with children or young people must hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). This includes Age Managers and Nipper trainers.

We follow SLSA Policy 6.16 regarding criminal convictions for community safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

For active patrol duties, swimming proficiency is required. However, we have many non-swimming roles in administration, events, and support.

What time commitment is required?

Active lifesavers commit to 4-6 patrols per season (approx 20 hours). Nippers attend weekly sessions during the season (Oct-Apr).

When does the season start?

The official patrol season runs from October to April. Nippers program runs October to March. Training courses run year-round.

Can I try before I join?

Yes! We welcome potential members to 'come and try' sessions. Contact us to arrange a visit and see what we're all about.
